Success at the Court of Appeal for Jessica Slaughter

28/07/2015

Jessica Slaughter represented a client who had assaulted his female friend during an evening out causing a fractured nose and initially a suspected fractured skull. It was successfully argued that the initial sentence at Teesside Crown Court of 12 months suspended for 2 years was manifestly excessive and the assault sentence was reduced to 8 months suspended for 2 years. Jessica was instructed by Jonathan Stirland of Kidd Spoor Taylor Solicitors in North Shields, Newcastle.
