Amy became a member of Chambers in April 2017 after successfully completing her pupillage under the supervision of Nicholas De La Poer. Prior to commencing pupillage, Amy was a para-legal with Squire Patton Boggs. Amy was also an intern at Glade Michel Wirtz in Düsseldorf and spent a year studying German Law at Universität Trier, Germany.
Amy regularly appears in the Magistrates, Youth and Crown Courts on behalf of both the defence and Crown Prosecution Service. Amy has conducted a number of trials and sentencing hearings in the Magistrates Court including matters of violence, sexual assault, theft, harassment and various road traffic offences. Amy has experience of dealing with cases involving young and vulnerable victims.
Amy hopes to develop her family practice. Through both pupillage and practice, Amy has experience in public and private proceedings under the Children’s Act 1989 as well as applications for injunctions under the Family Law Act 1996.
Amy has appeared in multiple road traffic trials for both claimants and defendants. Amy also composes advices in relation to road traffic accidents and has experience of stage 3 hearings.
