Robert Smith QC, Alistair MacDonald QC and Jason Pitter at Leeds Crown Court

York College today have been fined £175,000 for health and safety breaches after a three year old girl died whilst at the College’s nursery.

A nursery worker, represented by Alistair MacDonald QC, was found not guilty after a trial lasting almost three weeks.

Robert Smith QC and Jason Pitter were instructed on behalf of the prosecution.
