New Park Court Chambers is delighted to announce that Alistair MacDonald QC, Head of Chambers (Leeds) has taken up the post of Chairman of the Bar Council, the representative body for barristers throughout England and Wales, following his election to the post last year.
“Alistair’s appointment is a huge testament to his professionalism and is a reflection of the high regard in which he is held both regionally and nationally” said Robert Smith QC, overall head of New Park Court. “It is also a reflection of the quality of the regional Bar in general, the North Eastern Circuit and these Chambers in particular.”
Alistair previously served as Leader of the North Eastern Circuit in 2012 and was Vice Chairman of the Bar in 2014. The Bar Council Chairman serves a one year term.
