“Acquitted Across The Board”
Chris Smith and Stephen Uttley secured unanimous acquittals last week for clients facing allegations of involvement in serious organised vigilante violence; one incident involved the alleged use of multiple firearms.
Both defendants were accused of involvement in a sustained and violent attack involving the use of weapons including a sword; lengthy custodial sentences would have been inevitable upon conviction.
After a three-week trial the Jury swiftly returned unanimous verdicts of NOT GUILTY and both men walked free from court.
Stephen was instructed by SJ Law Solicitors – an experienced London firm whilst Chris was retained by the respected West Yorkshire firm – Qamars Solicitors.
