New Park Court is delighted to announce that our Head of Chambers, Robert Smith QC, was the recipient of the President’s Award at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2015. The award was presented to Mr Smith by Peter McCormick of McCormicks Solicitors and Jeremy Shulman of Shulmans Solicitors at the annual dinner on 22nd October.
Jeremy Shulman, in his speech said Mr Smith “prepares his cases with a degree of thoroughness to be admired. He is a consummate and skilful cross-examiner. His closing speeches would charm the birds in from the trees. At the same time, he is charming and great company to be with. For any young Barrister starting his or her legal career, he is the perfect role model”.
The awards were judged by a prestigious group of lawyers and academics from Yorkshire.
