Jeremy Barton successfully appealed the conviction of a police officer accused of possessing indecent images of a child. In the lower court sitting at Leeds, the officer was found to posses images that were alleged to be indecent, however the appeal court ruled that the images were not in fact indecent and the appeal upheld.
