Successful defence of police officers in the South Yorkshire Police Helicopter Sex Case

03/08/2017

Paul Greaney QC and Ben Campbell represented PC Matthew Lucas and Jason Pitter QC and James Gelsthorpe represented PC Lee Walls at their trial on charges of misconduct in public office. They were members of the crew of the South Yorkshire Police helicopter on occasions upon which it was allegedly used deliberately to film swingers having sex and nudists. They were acquitted, along with the police pilots, following a three week trial at Sheffield Crown Court.

All four members of chambers were instructed by Kristina Lancaster of Slater Gordon Solicitors.
