Paul Greaney QC acts for the CQC in first prosecution of an NHS Trust

Paul Greaney QC represented the CQC in its first prosecution of a public body since the introduction of its extended powers to prosecute. Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust was fined £125,000 for a serious and prolonged breach of regulation 12 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 in respect of a psychiatric hospital in Winchester.
