On 10 May 2019 at Newcastle Crown Court, Steven Crombie and members of his extended family were sentenced for offences of conspiracy to burgle, handling stolen goods and acquiring criminal property.
The case was successfully prosecuted by Christopher Rose, leading Richard Holland, on behalf of CPS Northumbria, the defendants admitting their guilt on the first day of the trial in April 2019.
In a series of burglaries and thefts, the gang stole over £170,000 of items, including items of significant sentimental value.
