Nicholas Lumley and Eleanor Fry successful in murder prosecution

Nicholas Lumley QC, leading Eleanor Fry, prosecuted a four-week trial in the murder of 17-year-old Halifax boy, Jamie Brown. Michael Thompson, the same age as the deceased, was convicted and received a life sentence with a minimum term of 17 years for the murder and linked offences that night.  4 other youths were also convicted and sentenced in respect of their roles in the outbreak of violence.
