Richard Holland in half-time attempted murder acquittal

On 25 November, in a trial before HHJ Wall QC at Birmingham Crown Court, Richard Holland – instructed by Mohammed Abid of Good and Co Solicitors – secured acquittals on counts of attempted murder, kidnap and wounding with intent faced by the Defendant following a successful submission of no case to answer at the conclusion of the Prosecution case.

The Defendant – a man of previous good character – was alleged to have been part of a group attack, where the complainant had been kidnapped from the street into a car and then stabbed on a number of occasions, before being driven to hospital.

Richard’s submission turned on the strength of the identification evidence against the Defendant. Following these submissions, the Judge directed the jury to find the Defendant not guilty of all charges he faced.

The trial continues against the remaining defendants. Further details will be provided at the conclusion of the trial.
