The Manchester Arena Inquiry is the public inquiry set up to investigate the deaths of the victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena Terror Attack. It is chaired by Sir John Saunders. Paul Greaney QC is Counsel to the Inquiry (CTI) and Nick de la Poer QC is also a senior member of the CTI team. On 7th April 2020, the Inquiry conducted a major virtual hearing by the Zoom platform. The hearing lasted 4 hours, and involved submissions being made to the Chairman by multiple advocates in remote locations. The hearing was broadcast live on YouTube. It was necessary to conduct the hearing in this way due to the Covid-19 crisis. It was the first hearing of a public inquiry to be managed in this way.
