Geraldine Kelly Appointed as Recorder

Chambers is pleased to announce the appointment of Geraldine Kelly as a Recorder in Crime (North Eastern Circuit). Tim Coulson, Chambers’ Chief Executive, commented “We are delighted for Geraldine; she has a wealth of experience in difficult and sensitive cases. This is an excellent appointment and she will undoubtedly bring her skills to bear in her judicial role”.

Geraldine was called to the Bar in 1996 and specialises in serious crime and regulatory work.

The Queen appointed 118 Recorders in total this year on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. Geraldine’s appointment is effective from 12th October 2020.
