The trial lasting 6 days involved delicate cross examination of the complainant regarding the account that she had given police concerning the allegations. The narrative of the case involved a family break up and the fallout caused after divorce and separation, which the defence contended lay behind the allegations. The jury found unanimously that the defendant was not guilty of all matters.
