The victim in this case alleged that he was duped into inviting some people he had just met whilst in a pub, back to his house for drinks. After a short time, the men became aggressive and used an electric drill to bore a hole in the sternum of the victim in order to make him reveal his banking details. The victim received painful injuries and suffered severe trauma owing to the experience. The case involved the assessment and analysis of DNA, fingerprints and CCTV footage which placed the defendants at the scene. The defendants were unanimously convicted and await sentence.
