Paul Greaney KC gives evidence to the Justice Select Committee of the United Kingdom on the proposed introduction of the Independent Public Advocate

On 16th May 2023, Paul Greaney KC gave evidence to the Justice Select Committee on the parts of the Victims and Prisoners Bill that propose the introduction of an Independent Public Advocate.   He was invited to do so because of his experience of and expertise in public inquiries and inquests arising out of disasters and major incidents, having appeared in the Hillsborough Inquests, the Deepcut Inquests, the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse and the Manchester Arena Inquiry, and holding current instructions in the Covid Inquiry and the Afghanistan Inquiry.
