The defendants did everything they possibly could to help him flee the country, including driving through the night and utilising the Eurotunnel to take them to continental Europe before making two attempts at putting their brother on a flight to Pakistan from two different airports. They were both convicted after trial and subsequently sentenced to 30 months’ imprisonment.
