Peter Byrne, instructed by Hay and Kilner LLP in Newcastle, defended Marcus Goodfellow who was unanimously acquitted of assisting an offender.
The offender was Jack Crawley who was convicted of the murder of a man whose body was hidden and only recovered months later. While released under investigation for that offence, Crawley went on the run from Carlisle and attempted to murder another man in York.
