Jeremy Barton was instructed to prosecute a 7 day Manslaughter trial at Bradford Crown Court. This case involved calling complex evidence on the issue of causation and the impact on the deceased’s brain of blunt force trauma, caused when he was pushed with force leading to a severe brain injury.
Evidence was adduced from two eminent experts in Pathology and Neuropathology which successfully dealt with the issue of causation. This case involved a number of complex issues which ultimately dealt with how the injuries caused led to death, despite a number of secondary health complications unrelated to the use of force.
