Geraldine Kelly appointed as King’s Counsel

New Park Court Chambers is delighted to announce that His Majesty The King has today approved the appointment of Geraldine Kelly as King’s Counsel. She will be sworn in during a ceremony in March.

New Park Court Chambers CEO, Rob Wagg said, “Appointment to Silk is a rigorous and demanding selection process. Becoming King’s Counsel is a widely respected mark of excellence in our legal system and reflects the strength and depth of the barrister’s experience, particularly their advocacy. Geraldine is recognised by the directories as a natural advocate who really stands out, hence this appointment is a testament to her continuous hard work, dedication and skill”.

Geraldine’s appointment will also bring the total number of Silks at New Park Court Chambers to 15. Thank you to all those who supported the appointment process, and a special thank you to the array of clients who have instructed Geraldine in her career to date.

Geraldine Kelly is a criminal practitioner who manages a well-balanced practice consisting of both defence and prosecution work covering all aspects of criminal law. She is noted for her special aptitude for dealing with witnesses, including vulnerable adults, children and experts. Her attention to detail and calm and measured approach have meant that she is often instructed on cases involving voluminous and complex evidence.
