5 March: Jessica Slaughter was invited to speak to St John’s College Law Society at the University of Cambridge

13/05/2025

Jessica Slaughter had been invited by St John’s College Law Society at the University of Cambridge to provide insights into the family and criminal law professions, with a particular focus on domestic abuse cases, and explore how different advocates address the complexities of these issues within their respective fields.  The Society specifically invited Jessica because they felt she would be able to offer “a valuable perspective and deep understand of these issues and the ability to support vulnerable individuals while navigating complex legal challenges because of her extensive expertise in domestic abuse and serious violence cases,  early work with a domestic violence organization, combined with her career as both a family and criminal barrister.”

Due to the distances involved and Jessica’s busy work schedule the College held a special hybrid session so that Jessica could join the panel remotely on 5 March.
