Sharon Beattie KC and Nick Lane had been invited to share their insights and thoughts with the Sunderland Law Society on 6 March. Sharon Beattie KC delivered a seminar on Coercive and Controlling Behaviour and Nick Lane presented on Disclosure Between The Family And Criminal Courts as well as talking about the new Sentencing Council guidelines for strangulation and suffocation offences and the implications which came into force this year.
During the Q&A session, both Sharon and Nick were happy to give insights into some of the issues they had faced during their practice in these topic areas, as well as an overview of life at the Bar.
