Paul Greaney KC prosecutes Paul Doyle, who drove his vehicle into the Liverpool FC Victory Parade

Paul Greaney KC, together with Philip Astbury of 7 Harrington Street Chambers, prosecuted Paul Doyle who drove his Ford Galaxy into fans at the parade which had been organised for 26 May 2025 to celebrate Liverpool FC winning the 2024/2025 Premier League title.   The Recorder of Liverpool sentenced Doyle to 21 and a half years’ imprisonment.

The case attracted national and international media attention. 

Paul Greaney and Philip Astbury were instructed by Mairead Neeson and James Allison of the CPS.
