Sharon Beattie KC and David Outterside both appointed as Recorders

New Park Court Chambers is pleased to announce the appointments of Sharon Beattie KC and David Outterside as Recorders.

61 new Recorders have been appointed by the King on the advice of the Lord Chancellor and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, with these appointments taking effect on 11 May 2026.

Rob Wagg, Chambers’ Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted for both Sharon and David on these well‑deserved achievements, where their experience will be invaluable, and as they begin important new chapters in their legal careers, alongside their continued Bar work.”

Sharon Beattie KC is the Joint Head of New Park Court Chambers and is a specialist crime and regulatory law barrister. She has prosecuted and defended in a vast array of high-profile cases involving murder, grooming, firearms, conspiracy, and sexual trafficking/exploitation.

David Outterside is a heavyweight criminal barrister with a focus on matters involving fatality, attempted murder, manslaughter, organised crime, drugs, large-scale conspiracy and firearms. He has represented clients in numerous serious and complex criminal cases across the country, both for the prosecution and the defence.
