Jason Pitter KC appears in prosecution of three men each given whole life orders for prison killing

Jason Pitter KC,  appeared for the Prosecution at the trial of three inmates convicted of murdering a fellow inmate, who was serving a sentence of life imprisonment at HMP Wakefield for murdering his stepchild.  

The case was unprecedented in that two of three defendants had murdered twice previously, and therefore this marked their second whole life order.   The third defendant was in addition, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a vulnerable woman he was in a relationship with.  Her body has never been recovered. He was also sentenced to 30 years’ imprisonment for the attempted murder of a police officer who was investigating that offence, following a trial in December 2025 (leading Chloe Fairley of Chambers).

JJason Pitter KC, was leading Jane Brady of St Paul’s Chambers and was instructed by the CPS West Yorkshire Complex Case Unit, and the Manchester Complex Case Unit.
