New Park Court Chambers are delighted that Jaime Hamilton KC has joined Chambers as a Door Tenant

Jaime Hamilton KC has practised predominantly in Crime for the last 32 years. As a junior he also undertook work in the General Medical Council and now represents police officers in both criminal proceedings and before disciplinary panels. Since taking Silk in 2019 he has appeared in cases which have attracted significant public interest, including an Encrochat case which featured in a Channel 4 documentary “Operation Dark Phone” https://www.channel4.com/programmes/operation-dark-phone-murder-by-text and defended in a case that was reported in the New York Times https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/16/world/europe/uk-ademola-adedeji-murder-conspiracy-gangs.html. His work has been mainly in cases of homicide and serious organised crime. 

Jaime has been heavily involved in Circuit life on his native Northern Circuit, culminating in his term as Circuit Leader 2023 to 2025. During that time he and Jason Pitter KC established the Bar Council supported “Pupillage Fair North”, bringing together the Northern and North Eastern Circuits. He is currently an elected member of the Bar Council. November of this year will see the publication of his book “The Skills of Modern Advocacy”, co-authored with Nigel Booth of the University of Law.
