David Outterside and Jemima Stephenson-Finn have defended a neurologically impaired Defendant during a three month jury trial 

David and Jemima defended this neurologically impaired and vulnerable Defendant accused of manufacturing prohibited firearms, who had ‘low intellectual functioning’ and received reasonable adjustments during this three month trial.  Today he received a two year sentence of imprisonment for his role in the manufacture and National distribution of prohibited firearms.  The trial was prosecuted by Silk and Junior and was co-defended by Silk and Junior. 

David and Jemima cross examined DNA scientists on indirect transfer, navigated over 7,500 pages of evidence including complex digital and telephone evidence, cross examined firearm experts and analyst, and made complex legal submissions including the application of the mental disorder and developmental disorder guidelines to the sentencing process. 

The defendant was found not guilty of s16 possession firearms with intent to endanger life, and was convicted of the alternative charge of s4 Firearms Act 1968.  The defendant was found to be the least culpable in this 7 defendant conspiracy.
