Background

Freddie Adams

Year of call 2023

Freddie commenced Pupillage with us on the 10th September 2024 and is currently based in our Newcastle Chambers.

Freddie grew up in the North-East and attended the Royal Grammar School in Newcastle. After school, he completed his law degree at the University of Nottingham. After three years away, he returned home to the North-East to study the bar course at Northumbria University. Freddie performed exceptionally well on the bar course, attaining the highest marks in the cohort in over half of the taught modules.

The first-six of Freddie’s Pupillage was done under the supervision of Christopher Rose and Lee Fish. In his first-six, he witnessed different types of criminal work, for both prosecution and defence, at a variety of levels. This included shadowing trials of serious sexual offences, complex fraud, and homicide.

Freddie has developed a deep understanding of criminal practice and procedure in his time at New Park Court, and he is now looking forward to progressing his career as he gains more experience.

Freddie also has experience in civil work, having shadowed and learned from counsel in multiple ‘small claims’ hearings in the County Court.
