Ian practiced as a solicitor for 18 years before his call to the Bar in 2018. For 8 of those years he dealt exclusively with Crown Court cases as a higher courts advocate.
Ian has dealt with a number of serious trials including arson with intent to endanger life, serious violence and high value dishonesty. He has also been junior counsel on trials of murder, manslaughter by gross negligence, and large drugs conspiracies. Ian is also a grade 3 prosecutor.
