New Park Court Chambers at Newcastle Crown Court

Nicholas Lumley QC, leading Adam Birkby, successfully prosecuted Jess and Jack Ryan at Newcastle Crown Court. After nearly 3 weeks of evidence the jury convicted both defendants of murder. The Recorder of Newcastle sentenced both defendants to life imprisonment: Jess Ryan must serve a minimum term of 25 years and Jack Ryan a minimum term of 21 years.
