The trial (lasting 8 days) involved cross examination of a young witness using the s.28 procedure of pre – recorded cross examination and the trawling of large amounts of electronic media contained within apple iCloud. The defence case focused on attacking the credibility of the key witness in the case through the use of phone evidence and video clips stored in the cloud. This was used to undermine the prosecution case and support the defence case.
