Helen Chapman Nominated for an Outstanding Impact on Serious Organised Crime – Team Award

We are pleased to announce that Helen Chapman has been nominated for an ‘Outstanding Impact on Serious Organised Crime – Team’ Award by the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit.

Helen prosecuted the widely publicised case of Ian and Lesley Claughton which resulted in Ian Claughton receiving a seven year custodial sentence and Lesley Claughton being handed a 21 month sentence, suspended for two years, for offences including possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of criminal property and possession of Class B with intent:

In recognising Helen’s contribution, the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit said of her and her colleagues “The team demonstrated resilience and professionalism under sustained pressure” whilst “delivering significant impact against serious organised crime through exceptional leadership, partnership working and operational excellence.”
